''With a menu offering so many inventive dishes we couldn't pass over the starters, so I opted for nettle and spinach soup with rarebit, which was vibrant and clean-tasting as I had hoped. My partner fancied the five-spiced duck with bok choy salad, which looked like a mini work of art and got top marks from him. His main course of roast lamb with apricot stuffing impressed him too, with its slow-cooked tenderness and rich flavours.
A glass of rose and a Jameson or two rounded the night off nicely in one of the most inviting restaurants in town.

"Myself and a large group of friends came down to Samphires a few weeks ago and I must say we were all overwhelmed with the beautiful food and wine we received!
For me, the beef was cooked to perfection, the vegetables excellent, and the array of potatoes (fondant, roast and dauphinoise) were stunning. To top it off, the sauce was mind blowing. To quote Michel Roux Jnr, "If only there was more of it!".
The restaurant itself was also a sight to behold, it was warm and the atmosphere buzzing. Just how a good restaurant should be.
Anyway, thanks for a fantastic evening. We will definitely be back for more!"
